As for food, customers can expect plenty of burgers made with Ed’s signature 6oz patty packed with chuck, brisket & short rib. Sides include onion rings, fries, tots, mac & cheese, cucumber salad, sauteed veggies, and chips. You won’t find a better local non-corporation owned bar in Charlotte with better food. I’ve had most things menu items here but the wings in any flavor and the burgers are legit! Located in a great comfy neighborhood and I really like the layout here for sports. Ed’s Tavern is located in the heart of Dilworth, NC.

New European-Inspired Restaurant to Replace Former Stanley Drug Store

I definitely made the right choice by selecting Ed’s over a number of other Charlotte venues I considered. From start to finish I had a very good experience and many of the folks attending the concert commented about the good service. All the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Ed’s has a lot of space inside with many TVs and the expansive deck out back is a great place to relax outside.

Now the company is ready to expand the brand to a second location. The duo is currently renovating the space to make it look like the other locations. Customers can expect an extensive drink menu, an outdoor patio, and friendly staff. I had the pleasure of hosting my CD release party at Ed’s this week.

Our neighborhood friendly restaurant offers many versatile settings so whatever mood you’re in, you can find comfort anywhere. We have televisions propped at all angles at the pub and many craft beer selections. When the new Ed’s Tavern opens later this year, it will be the second restaurant opened by the company in two years. The Blundells opened their second concept, FreeMore Tavern, in Wesley Heights, offering only 12 beers on draft and the same menu. Ed’s Tavern renamed itself as Bourbon N Burgers in 2017, but the change didn’t sit well with customers. The owners rebranded back to Ed’s after only a few months.

Thanks to Mike Morelli and his staff for helping kick off our reunion weekend. Good sports bar atmosphere, waiters can be a bit in a rush at times nothing terrible. I think they have some good wings though I was disgusted with the Cajun flavor rub. It was a weird texture and it tasted burnt, not sure what was going on but would not get again. The Nashville flavor on the other hand...AMAZING!

While the education system is superb and the community is welcoming, living in Malibu does come with a relatively hefty price tag. Suburb is home to many of the county’s most expensive neighborhoods including Malibu Colony, Serra Retreat, and La Costa. However, if you branch out further into the hills, you’ll find more ranches, stables, and fields rather than extravagant mansions. A member of Historic Hotels of America since 2018, the Publick House Historic Inn was originally established on the eve of the American Revolution. Colonel Ebenezer Crafts specifically constructed the inn during the late 18th century, who had originally planned to go into the ministry after his time at the Yale Divinity School.

With help provided by Payne and his parishioners, Crafts began to construct a massive home on the lot. But Crafts’ designed his new residence to serve as more than just a home. On the contrary, Crafts had actually converted a portion of the structure to function as roadside inn. His new building stood two stories in height and was set atop a foundation based on a central hallway. The building’s ground floor featured several public rooms and a large kitchen, while 13 guestrooms resided upstairs for overnight guests. Some of the rooms on the first floor provided specific services to Crafts’ guests, too.

The inn was even transformed into a boarding house for women called “The Elms” for a brief time, although it nearly closed down due to its dilapidated state. Fortunately, salvation arrived in the form of Richard Paige, who bought the entire complex for a single dollar amid a card game. Working alongside architect James A. Britten, Paige carefully restored the building back to its roots, which thus gave it a completely new lease on life. Thanks to his innovation and respect for history the Publick House Historic Inn has never closed its doors since. As such, this fantastic historic hotel has continued to offer unmatched hospitality and affordable accommodations to guests well into the present. Charlotte also refers to herself in third person on occasion, calling herself by her nickname "Charlie". She seems to be somewhat close with Lime, despite their conflicts, often seen tagging along and joining in with her whims. Basically, Bebe, Charlotte, and Nagisa Momoe are three different names for the same entity. This enemy has always appeared at 20% strength magnification. This enemy can do a fair bit of damage but is hampered by its somewhat low health and abysmal range.

Type

As a human, Charlotte seemed proud and arrogant, describing herself as "...the kind of genius who only appears once every 100 years". She also refers to herself as a national hero for her victories in war. She was extremely dedicated to "Papa", doing anything to please him, even working herself half to death and undergoing extreme pains from her surgeries. She describes herself as a prodigy who no one can best, and who will always be of use. Charlotte can be seen as relatively curt, but not exactly rude. She tends to act childish, matching her appearance, but this is implied to be a facade (which can be taken from her human past) or a result of how she was raised.

Charlotte is disturbed by Claire’s sympathy for people who would murder her in cold blood, as this type of thinking is exactly what killed Fiona.

In the Rebellion movie, she belongs to Mami. Not much is known of Charlotte 's past, spare that she was once a witch who went to the academy. She loved Mumblechook and Doctor Dee, as did the other students, and while going on a short walk, made the mistake of picking  Fly By Night and giving it to them as a gift. Charlotte is a rather sweet and gentle person, and deeply cares about close ones. When Mary had gone missing for the night, Charlotte was in great panic and very relieved to see her.

This time, we are also introduced to her backstory in which elaborates upon her relationship with her mother and how she became a magical girl. Since both forms of Charlotte are Witches, they will become much easier to defeat with the collab units' Witch Killer ability. After their experiment of turning a witch into a more powerful being failed, Charlotte stole the Fly By Night seeds and attempted to escape with them. Mumblechook almost caught her after cornering her in a tree, but Charlotte managed to escape with her broom. Mumblechook attacked her with her tracking spells, but Charlotte dodged most. A giant explosion shock wave from the experiment lab caused her to eventually fall out of the sky, unfortunately.

Charlotte has short, grayed hair that reaches her ear length, along with separated short bangs. She has red, rounded glasses which she is rarely seen without, and blue eyes. Her skin is fair and smooth, and she is slightly overweight. Charlotte usually wears a vintage dress that reaches the ankles and a short cardigan over it. As a demon, Charlotte wears the same military uniform, but with a yellow shawl over it.

As a thoughtful gift, she picked the Fly By Night and gave it to Doctor Dee and Madam Mumblechook, unaware of their awful intentions. They were quite close, and Charlotte viewed herself as Papa’s pride. But he betrayed her the moments before her death, then causing her to turn into a Hater Demon.

From an impoverished childhood in White Center, Richard Hugo became a poetic chronicler of overlooked people and places. He wrote about life along the Duwamish River, about people who lived in shacks on the city’s outskirts. Drawing inspiration from SoHo’s 20th century warehouses, architect Marcello Pozzi’s design for the 20-story hotel mixes ground floor vertical gardens with miles of glass.

His parents immigrated here and worked as street vendors for most of his life to give Hugo and his five siblings more opportunities than they had in Mexico. After his dad became disabled, Hugo started working at a non-union hotel at the age of 16 to help out his family. Shortly before graduating college, he joined with his coworkers to form a union – earning better working conditions and respect on the job.

We offer opportunities for young writers to explore their creativity, from intensive Scribes summer writing camps to free drop-in writing circles with caring and experienced mentors. Class Pricing

Our signature Speaker Series brings acclaimed and talented writers from around the region and the country to share their work and knowledge of the writing craft with the Hugo House community. Sliding scale tuition starts at $5 and goes up to 125% of the standard pricing. Payments above the 100% rate help fund future accessible writing classes and programming. At a time when rising urban rents are driving many artists out of town and threatening small cultural organizations, the Hugo House community has come together to write a different story. The four goals of our strategic plan detail the direction we will head over the coming years.

Some discuss their influences or reveal works in progress. Our teaching staff include prominent visiting writers, as well as working novelists, poets, essayists, and memoirists. Classes explore the craft of writing, from the basics (Poetry I) to the master class (Book Lab). Whoever you are and wherever your passions lie—if you want to write, there’s a Hugo House class for you. In the Young Writers Cohort, students focus on either poetry or prose with a small group of peer writers and an instructor. High-school aged students who want to focus on their writing are encouraged to apply.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick Review: Its Worth Every Penny

charlotte tilbury lipstick pillowtalk

Lipstick speed dating introduced me to shades I wouldn’t have sampled otherwise, but they felt more like occasion lipsticks than everyday picks. Pillow talk medium lipstick is a beautiful lipstick that is slightly darker than the original shade with warm-berry pink tones. These gorgeous lipsticks are the perfect blend of warm and cool tones and fall somewhere between a warm blush pink and a natural-toned nude.

AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS FINISH2 MEDIUM

And while I tend to prefer wearing the original shade for everyday wear, I LOVE how the medium shade looks paired with more full-faced makeup looks for date night and special occasions. The lipstick does have a slight vanilla scent to it, but it’s not overpowering or overwhelming. I also wanted to see for myself if the Pillow Talk lipsticks are really worth it or not. Charlotte Tilbury makes some of my absolute favorite beauty products.

CHARLOTTE'S MAGIC WATER CREAM50 ML MOISTURISER

The number 3 on the bottle celebrates the pure joy of living and it is said to be the lightest and most carefree of all the energies in numerology. Using technology at the cutting edge of science, they have collected this data with their IFF SCENTCUBE™ algorithm! This innovative technology works its magic to identify the notes and accords used in fragrances that are proven to enhance specific feelings. With price drops like these, Charlotte Tilbury favorites are all but guaranteed to sell out.

For ultimate staying power, we suggest lining your lips using Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Lip Cheat Liner in its coordinating lipstick shade. You can also stack your savings by purchasing them together with the brand's Pillow Talk Lip Kit, which might free up some extra cash for a Pillow Talk Blush Wand or Collagen Lip Bath, too. You can also extend the wear of this lipstick by filling in and lining the lips with the pillowtalk lip pencil before applying. I’m happy to report that these lipsticks are not drying, and the formula itself was one of the things I was really impressed with. This will definitely be a lipstick I grab for date nights, and it’s a great shade for special occasions.

Matte Revolution in Pillow Talk enhances the natural hue of your lips so is unique to your skin tone and natural lip color. Plus, I’ll break down all the details of the CT pillow talk lipsticks including formula, shade, packaging, ingredients, and how long it lasts on the lips. Singling out a lipstick I’d want to wear day in and day out—and that spoke to who I am at the same time—became my beauty obsession early this year. Like a freshman at college orientation, I took a “try everything once” approach to my hunt. I’ve tested cherry and candy-apple reds; "universal" nudes with mauve and orange undertones; and, in a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina–inspired moment of edginess, matte blacks and dark blues.

NEW! PILLOW TALK BIG LIP PLUMPGASMFAIR TO MEDIUM

It’s hands-down one of the most versatile lipstick shades that can be worn everyday for any occasion, making it a great value. Of course I wouldn’t just recommend a lipstick without going into the details of the product, so let’s dive into a breakdown of the formula, shade, packaging, ingredients, and price of these lipsticks. I’m not the only one who has named Pillow Talk my “desert island” lipstick. I share an obsession with Amal Clooney, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kate Moss, apparently.

What the Pillow Talk lipstick is like to wear

In fact, Charlotte Tilbury created a whole collection dedicated to this romantic, soft-glam shade. To truly see if the Pillow Talk shades are universally flattering, we tested out the wear, formulation, and look of the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick shades on six different skin tones. Some of us opted to try out the original color, while others wanted to give Pillow Talk Medium a whirl.

From celebrities to brides, people have been praising this gorgeous nude-pink color for years. Pillow Talk delivers a natural-hued pink lip that's timeless and elegant. Whether it's paired with a bold smoky eye, graphic liner, or a barely there, minimal look, this lipstick shade proves to be a versatile staple, day and night. It first hit the scene in 2013 as a Lip Cheat lip liner shade that left the impression of being a universally flattering pink tone. After the shade gained popularity, the brand made a lipstick version of it as part of its Matte Revolution line in 2017, and the rest is history. It's gone viral on social media plenty of times throughout the years, and the brand even claims that one Matte Revolution Pillow Talk lipstick is sold every two minutes.

My Pillow Talk lipsticks launched to give EVERYONE what I call ‘the most beautiful lips of their life’. The moisturising matte formula smooths and shapes the lips of your dreams to perfect every pout. One coat enhances my natural lip color; two or three more, and I have a pink lip that’s just shy of a berry tone.

We suggest moving quickly to snap up your favorite Pillow Talk shades, along with other best-sellers, before its sitewide sale ends next week. With the 2023 Met Gala right around the corner, show-stopping red carpet glamour is on everyone's mind—including celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury's. It also has a satin finish compared to a matte finish in the other two.

Pillow talk original lipstick is a gorgeous, universally-flattering, nude-pink shade that compliments each individual’s natural lip color and skin tone. So today I’m excited to share my honest Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick Review and lipstick swatches of both the original and medium pillow talk lipsticks on fair skin. On everyone’s lips right now, this iconic matte, nude-pink lipstick is the ultimate celebrity and supermodel lip color, creating MAKEUP MANIA across the globe as the secret to fuller, wider looking lips.

Then there are the several thousand (and counting) #pillowtalklipstick posts singing the shade’s praises on Instagram. Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed by the light mauve pink in the tube. While the packaging was beautiful, the color itself didn’t seem like anything extraordinary. The must-have lipstick also contains vitamin E and orchid extract to keep them hydrated, and is formulated with emollient esters to create a soft, silky texture that helps it stay put. Perhaps that's why Pillow Talk in each of its shade iterations is frequently worn by celebrities like Meghan Markle, Emma Roberts, Lizzo, Bella Hadid, Lily James, and Amal Clooney, just to name a few. Normally matte lipsticks can be super drying and you have to be careful as they can sometimes emphasize any dry or cracked areas on your lips.

Galapagos cruise guide: Itineraries, planning tips and things to do

galápagos cruise

Celebrity Flora, our newest ship here, features dynamic positioning to protect the seabed, silicone paint to glide with less fuel, solar panels to make electricity, and no single-use plastics. Plus, after 17 years of award-winning Galapagos cruises and vacations, we can open your world even wider with all-inclusive packages of 10–16 nights in South America. For me, the water was still to cold and tended to be murky and too few fish.Others took full advantage of the many opportunities and enjoyed finding the sharks, rays, etc.. The snorkeling was an incredible experience for the sheer amount of fish that can be observed.

Live-aboard Dive Boats

Explorers visiting this island can expect up close encounters with the Espanola mockingbird, lava lizard, and marine iguana. There are also sea lions, giant tortoises, and the very rare waved albatrosses found here. Choosing the right trip - As mentioned earlier, yachts are restricted from returning to the same visitor site within 14 days. For that reason, you will see many different itineraries, ranging from East, West, North, South, A, and B. Most boats have put a lot of effort into scheduling the itineraries, so no matter which one you pick, you will have a memorable experience.

Seaman Journey

(I recommend Keen-style sandals, water socks or Crocs.) Bring extra socks; merino wool works well to regulate temperature and keep you comfortable. Also, check with your travel agent to see if they can offer you anything extra — like a land-based add-on or extra onboard credit — if you're considering booking. Arguably one of the most iconic views in the Galapagos is the one from the Pinnacle Rock volcanic formation on Bartolome Island, one of the smallest of the main islands. Rabida is also where you'll find a unique menagerie of birds, including pelicans, mockingbirds, doves, flamingos, white-cheeked pintail ducks, yellow warblers and Darwin finches. If you're a birder eager to check a ton of species off your list, it's a stop you won't want to miss. The island of Rabida is an aesthetic standout, thanks to its pristine red-sand beaches.

Ultraluxury experience on Silver Origin

The ship sails three routes, taking eight to 15 days, and guests get plenty of snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, and panga rides along the way. Galapagos cruise itineraries are typically a week long and cover a portion of the islands, sometimes more. Here's everything to know about cruising in the Galapagos, from frequently asked questions to the best itineraries to book now. It went to multiple islands so we saw a variety of wildlife and topography. Charles Darwin Research Station - Located close to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island airport, a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station is usually at the start or the end of the trip.

Our group size ranges from an average of 12 to a maximum of 16 clients per guide. English or Spanish speaking groups are standard with many other languages available on previous request. Our luxury cruises in the Galapagos Islands sail around the archipelago and stop at must-see island locations.

Endemic Galapagos

The Galapagos is a region unlike anywhere else on Earth, which means a trip there is full of nuance. Because of the length and price of most Galapagos sailings, you'll likely want to plan at least six months in advance, if not further. A call on Genovesa Island, one of the northernmost in the Galapagos group, features a unique hiking opportunity in the form of Prince Philip's Steps (also called El Barranco).

Swimming isn't allowed, but the peacefulness that will wash over you is worth the short trek. Along the way, you can climb a quick set of stairs for great views over the island. Here's a rough breakdown of which islands you might visit in each region.

This 20-passenger boat is a solid option with great service and comfortable accommodations. A trip on the Letty promises a 10 guest-per-guide ratio, as well as dinner with the captain. You get a choice between two seven-day itineraries, each including opportunities to snorkel, hike, and learn about the local wildlife from knowledgeable guides. For an adventure your kids will never forget, hop on board an Adventures by Disney cruise of the Galapagos Islands. Just be sure to wait until your kids are at least seven years old. This is the minimum age for most Galapagos cruises, though Disney recommends this itinerary for children eight and older.

What animals can I see on the Galapagos Islands?

The Cerro Colorado Tortoise Breeding Center, on the south part of the island, focuses on mitigating threats to the islands' giant tortoise population. It's another location where giant tortoises are bred in captivity and released into a monitored natural habitat to be protected and studied. Silversea originally purchased a 30-year-old vessel, Silver Galapagos, to operate its voyages in the region. However, when expedition cruises began to soar in popularity, the ultra-luxury line sold the ship and built one specifically designed for the Galapagos.
